Roy North began his career in 1969 as an installer for a small garage door company. When the original owner retired in 1972, Roy and his wife, Marcena, purchased the business. After finishing high school, their eldest son, David, joined the company, followed soon after by his siblings—Darrel, Darrin, Connie, and Carol—as well as a close family friend, Brent Butzin. Upon Roy and Marcena’s retirement in 1992, their children and Brent became co-owners, with David taking on the role of president. Today, Carol Schifferl and Darrin North are running the company with their family by their side. New generations continue to step up and lead the charge.
